iOS Forensic Toolkit is updated to support the extraction of media files from iOS devices running all versions of iOS. The ability to extract pictures and videos without making a local backup or accessing the cloud offers experts a forensically sound way of quickly accessing media files stored in iPhone and iPad devices. The Toolkit can extract media files from locked devices by using iTunes pairing records (lockdown files).

Elcomsoft Explorer for WhatsApp 2.25 improves two-factor authentication support when downloading WhatsApp backups from Apple iCloud, adding the ability to detect the presence of two-factor authentication before the users are delivered a push notification prompt. This release improves the speed and reliability of iCloud downloads and delivers a number of smaller bug fixed and performance enhancements.

Elcomsoft Phone Breaker 8.1 is a cloud-targeted update. The new release is now able to discretely detect whether or not the Apple account being acquired has two-factor authentication enabled without triggering a push notification on user’s devices. Two-factor authentication codes delivered as SMS messages are now supported in addition to push and offline codes. Finally, the update can also bypass 2FA if running on the suspect's computer.

Elcomsoft Cloud Explorer 2.0 expands support for Google’s Two-Factor Authentication by adding Google Prompt and FIDO Keys, including Yubico, to the list of supported authentication methods. In addition, a new Mac edition of Elcomsoft Cloud Explorer is now available for macOS users.

iOS Forensic Toolkit 2.40 is updated with enhanced support for lockdown records, enabling forensic experts to extract more information from locked down iPhones and iPads in “cold boot” situations. The new release can access advanced device information through the use of lockdown records even if the device is completely locked down and has never been unlocked since powered on or rebooted.

Elcomsoft Explorer for WhatsApp 2.20 adds full iOS 11 support, and enables compatibility with the latest versions of WhatsApp for iOS and Android. In addition, the update adds Excel exporting, allowing experts to save extracted data as an Excel-compatible spreadsheet.

Elcomsoft Phone Viewer 3.50 is a major update, adding the ability to view two additional types of data and enabling compatibility with iOS 11 backups. The new Applications plugin allows viewing which apps are installed on the iOS device being extracted, including the original purchase data. The Wi-Fi plugin enables access to saved Wi-Fi and their passwords. Finally, iOS 11 support allows accessing backups produced by devices running Apple’s latest version of iOS.

Elcomsoft Cloud Explorer 1.40 adds the ability to export data into Excel-compatible XLSX spreadsheets, allowing experts to perform in-depth analysis of extracted evidence via their tool of choice. Support for official builds of Android Oreo enables the extraction of SMS text messages and call logs backed up by all devices running the final build of Android 8.0.
